The Team: Vehicles in Use provide customers intelligence and insights on VIO (vehicles in operation) and automotive technologies through 20+ years of research and we cover 69 global countries. The team is also responsible for other products such as Vehicles Miles Travelled and the design of new products from inception to customer delivery.
We are part of the “Planning Solutions” domain within the Mobility division of S&P Global.
The Impact: This position is critical for the success of our product portfolio. The roadmap ahead of us will stretch any senior operations and product leader who is keen on driving strategic change, process re-engineering, managing global teams and embracing new technologies such as machine learning, LLMs, predictive analytics, AWS architecture solutions and AI solutions. We have started a series of transformation initiatives not only to answer key industry questions around CASE (Connected cars, Autonomy, Shared Mobility, Electrification) but also to re-design how we operate as we continue to adopt the latest technologies. DaaS is what we do, and we support customers by providing data solutions that allow them to make informed decisions. We are market leaders and are proud to work with all OEMS, most Tier 1&2 automotive suppliers, energy companies, governments across the globe and big tech companies.
As a team we use AGILE principles to manage our product backlog, priorities, and customer deliverables.
Scope of the role. Key Responsibilities:
This is a transformation role with a high focus on developing product and data operations best practice.
Operational excellence is required in these areas: building KPIS and quality frameworks, lead teams, project and program management, reengineering, and process redesign, understanding data science and working with product delivery teams.
Develop a technical understanding of the product offering such as scrappage and forecast methodologies, vehicle taxonomies and harness machine learning and statistical modelling to drive automation and develop new insightful products.
Have the willingness to dig deeper into our products and “get your hands dirty” in order to design better processes and conduct root cause analysis
Conduct product research, customer interviews and business cases that supports product feasibility/validate market hypothesis.
Work on the end-to-end product management lifecycle from concept validation to “go to market” activities and post launch KPIS review.
Set up customer queries support and internal SLAs to triage customer responses.
Set up programs, project manage strategic projects and ensure reporting mechanisms are in place.
Be an excellent communicator, be able to work with senior stakeholders within the wider organisation.
Commercially astute to drive revenue and profitability in line with budget targets.
Skills
Automotive and data expertise.
