Power System Engineer - Green Energy & Net ZeroAs the world moves towards net-zero emissions, the way we use electricity is changing. More than ever, we need experts who can ensure the lights stay on while we transition to greener energy sources. That’s where Power System Engineers come in.
About the Role:We’re looking for an experiencedPower System Engineerto help predict energy demand and ensure it’s met efficiently. You’ll be working with grids and service stations, making sure the right amount of electricity is supplied to the right places at the right time.
For example, when big events like football matches take place, energy usage spikes. Your job will be to anticipate these changes and make sure the system can handle the demand.

- Understanding customer needs and demand patterns is crucial to keeping things running smoothly.
- You’ll analyse data, predict load increases, and help manage existing service stations to prevent issues before they arise.
What We’re Looking For:- Up to 10 years’ experiencein power systems, with3-5 years in net-zero grids
- Strong understanding of grid management and power distribution
- Ability to work with energy providers and industry partners

QualificationsEducation:- ABachelor’s degreein Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is essential.
- AMaster’s degreeor higher is a plus.
Experience:- Hands-on experience inpower system engineering, with a strong focus onsystem design, analysis, and protection.
- Experience leading and managingengineering teamson large-scale projects.
- Familiarity withpower system modelling software, such asETAP, PSS/E, DigSILENT PowerFactory, CYME, or similar tools.
Skills & Expertise:- Strong knowledge ofpower system components, includingtransformers, circuit breakers, relays, and control systems.
- Expertise inpower system analysis, protection, and control.
- Experience working onrenewable energy integrationandgrid modernisationprojects.
- Proficiency inelectrical CAD software, simulation tools, and system modelling.
- Excellentproblem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strongcommunication skillsand the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
