Great Britain's electricity infrastructure is undergoing an ambitious, exciting and vital transformation. Together with industry, we are creating a cleaner, greener system, one that protects the planet and serves generations to come.
This role forms part of the Strategic Infrastructure Offshore Engineering Team, responsible for supporting the delivery of national infrastructure that is integral to Net Zero.
As Senior Marine Geophysicist you will give technical input and provide quality management across the portfolio of offshore work. You will support the design, engineering, and delivery of subsea cables, including their burial and protection.
Within this role, you will manage suppliers to ensure survey data is collected, processed, and supplied to the correct standards and specification whilst being familiar with industry practices and standards covering the acquisition, processing, and interpretation of marine survey data, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including survey contractors, consultants, Project Managers, and joint-venture partners.
The Senior Marine Geophysicist will also lead on the implementation and management of workflow and standards within the Marine Geospatial environment. The principal value created by this role is the supervision and management of quality to ensure National Grid and our partners can be highly confident that the products and services provided will result in agreed outcomes.
We continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.
