Minimum qualifications:
- Clinical degree (e.g., PharmD, DNP, MD, DO, MBBS).
- 3 years of clinical experience after the completion of a clinical degree as demonstrated by completion of accredited residency, fellowship, equivalent certification.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience driving projects of high complexity, in ambiguous environments, with cross-functional teams.
- 3 years of experience in executive communication.
- 3 years of experience in research or product development.
- 1 year of experience with AI in a health or healthcare setting.

The centralized Health team provides guidance and support to Google’s product areas for the development of health-related products and services. Experts within the Health team focus on a range of topics, including clinical expertise, industry solutioning, regulatory, quality, and safety, health and employee health and safety. We support products across Google that touch the health and well-being of people on a global scale.
Within the Health team, the Clinical Team is a multidisciplinary group of doctors, nurses, and other health professionals, as well as clinical researchers, public health experts, and people who have run health systems. It forms a global team with experience across every layer of health in a range of geographies, including the United States (US), Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific (APAC). This team works closely with groups within Google and across Alphabet.
In this role, you will be a talented clinician with a background in health information quality evaluation and a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI) safety and quality. This position requires a unique blend of skills, balancing safety evaluation experience with policy and cross-functional stakeholder management. You will be working in an inspiring and collaborative environment to drive alignment across the organization and ensure the scaled implementation of safe Generative AI capabilities for global health impact.

Responsibilities
- Lead internal cross-functional partner management and build consensus to ensure health-related safety efforts are integrated across policy, testing, and launch governance processes.
- Narrate the clinical motivation behind safety projects to drive transparent messaging and ensure cross-functional alignment through shared purpose and influence.
- Provide clinical input into health-related policy development and enforcement, ensuring all deliverables meet Google's highest safety and quality standards.
- Offer clinical leadership for cross-company testing approaches, managing testing rotas and overseeing dataset labeling projects for Artificial Intelligence (AI) health products.
- Serve as the primary clinical contact for evaluations, providing expertise on health information quality, safety, and literacy.
