Role DescriptionResponsible for managing the organisation’s vulnerability management capability end-to-end, ensuring vulnerabilities are identified, prioritised, and remediated using a risk-based approach aligned to business and threat context.

Julie Sweet, Accenture CEOQualificationKey Responsibilities- Manage vulnerability scanning and assessment across the environments.
- Validate vulnerability findings and eliminate false positives.
- Prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk, exploitability, and asset criticality.
- Coordinate remediation with platform, infrastructure and client teams.
- Track remediation progress and validate fixes through re-scanning.
- Manage vulnerability exceptions and risk acceptances.
- Provide vulnerability context to SOC investigations and incident response.
- Produce vulnerability risk reports and remediation metrics.
- Support audits, compliance, and assurance activities.
- Continuously improve vulnerability management processes and tooling.
Role Requirements- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 7-10 years in vulnerability management, SOC or security engineering roles. Experience operating vulnerability management in large or regulated environments.
- Certifications (preferred): Tenable/Qualys/Rapid7 certifications, CRISC or other risk-focussed certifications, GCED or equivalent certifications
The following skills and experience are essential for this role- Vulnerability management lifecycle, risk management, risk-based prioritisation/remediation, good understanding of IT infrastructure and security operations, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
