Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
- Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in mathematics, economics, finance, physics, or another quantitative field.
- Experience working with or inside of regulators, and negotiating with or on behalf of regulators.
- Experience in the mobile technology space related to operating systems, app stores, and application development.
- Knowledge of global regulations relevant to Google Play (e.g., competition law, privacy, artificial intelligence, consumer safety).
- An interest in building a mutually supportive team culture where differing perspectives are heard and valued, and all backgrounds and identities are celebrated.

As a Strategy Manager on our Google Play and Developer Regulatory Strategy team, you will play a critical role working on initiatives and helping leadership answer the toughest regulatory strategy questions we face today and into the future, defining how Google Play and our ecosystems evolve.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more key regulatory strategy projects, and support discussions among senior level stakeholders from different product and cross-functional teams to build consensus and inform executive decision making.
- Develop informative metrics and undertake quantitative analyses (e.g., data analysis and visualization, SQL) to assess the impact of executive decisions related to regulatory strategies.
- Illuminate the impact of proposed strategies on user experience, value drivers (e.g., safety and security), financial performance, resource commitments, and Google’s priorities.
- Work with our policy and legal teams to assess the business impact of regulatory changes on our ecosystems for one or more geographic regions (e.g., the European Union and United Kingdom, the Americas, or APAC).
- Develop internal resources to help the business make informed decisions about how to navigate key regulatory requirements and provide comparative strategic assessments.
