User Research Consultant
We are looking for aUser Research Consultant in our FlexiPay team for a 6 month outside IR35 contact period.
We are seeking an experienced and independent User Research Contractor to lead a 6-month research project focused on understanding the needs, behaviours, and pain points of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). The contractor will be responsible for end-to-end research activities, from scoping to delivering actionable insights that inform product development and business strategy.

The role
Scope the Research: Define research objectives, methodologies, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
Participant Recruitment: Develop and execute a detailed recruitment plan to target desired SME participants, ensuring relevant representation.
Conduct Research: Perform user interviews, feedback sessions on product concepts, surveys or other qualitative/quantitative research methods.
Analyze Findings: Summarize data, identify common themes, and generate actionable insights.
Deliver Insights: Present findings to stakeholders, providing clear recommendations to guide product and business decisions.
What we’re looking for
Strong expertise in end-to-end user research, including scoping, recruitment, and analysis.
Experience in conducting research with SMEs.
Ability to work independently and manage timelines effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with tools for qualitative data analysis (e.g., NVivo, Dovetail, or similar).
