Job Title: Higher Apprentice Information & Technology
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Starting from £23,286 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What you will be doing:
You will develop a number of skills, both technical and non-technical. Technical skills that are to be developed will include cyber security, system development and data analytics. Non-technical skills include stakeholder management, project management and reporting, definition/requirements capture and Service Management skills.
Teamwork is essential to this role as you will be required to work with many different people across a variety of disciplines. You must be self-confident and able to take the initiative in order to solve the kinds of problems that arise within a technology based function.
This role could also include attending college on a regular basis in order to support related framework qualifications and technical subject matter knowledge.
Specific activities could include:
The role of an Information & Technology (IT) Apprentice involves assisting in the delivery of IT support to BAE Systems Maritime Naval Ships by helping to support its IT systems. This can include providing a technical support service, or delivering and maintaining relevant people, process or system documentation. You will be required to work to deadlines and standards on a daily basis.

Qualification requirements
5 National 5s including Maths, English and a Business or IT related subject at grade C or above (or equivalent). Application of Maths can be accepted. 2 Highers including English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
