About the role
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) owns and operates the high voltage electricity transmission system in England and Wales. Our role is key in enabling the net zero transition by providing the electricity infrastructure needed to meet the UK’s ambitious targets. This requires us to ensure we optimise across the requirements of a broad range of customers and stakeholders while also considering the socio-economic and environmental implications of everything we do.

As Lead Performance Analyst, you will drive the development of innovative analytical products that deliver high-quality dashboards, reports, and tools. You will build and nurture effective relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the business to understand and capture data and reporting requirements.
By developing and implementing effective data quality and governance processes, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data, enabling SHEC to meet and exceed all governance reporting activities. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement and innovation to enhance the impact, efficiency, and quality of performance insights across the business.
We’re flexible on where you’re based however you’ll be required to come to our Warwick office a couple of times a month for meetings and to work collaboratively. This can be combined with hybrid working from home.

You will be familiar with data visualisation best practices with a focus on attention to detail. You will be confident and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, supported by excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong data management and manipulation skills are essential, as well as an understanding of governance protocols to ensure compliance with reporting standards and obligations. You will have a strong focus on quality assurance and be able to maintain high standards of accuracy throughout all reporting outputs.
Experience of leading or working in Agile project management environments is essential and you will be expected to manage multiple stakeholders, often with competing priorities. Knowledge or experience of creating performance frameworks would advantageous but is not essential.
