12 Month Fixed Contract – Full Time – Wales

As External Affairs Advisor, you’ll join a Wales based team managing the external affairs needs of your portfolio, either upgrade or new build.
You’ll protect and promote National Grid’s reputation in local communities where it is looking to consent and build new, or upgrade existing infrastructure, building relationships with a diverse range of local political and community stakeholders.
Adhering to project stakeholder engagement and communications guidance, you’ll direct engagement from planning through to construction, managing expectations about our essential works and their impacts, through effective communication.
This role is best located in Wales, and we have a major office in Warwick, Birmingham and London.
Given the Welsh community and stakeholder focus, applicants should be fluent in Welsh and part of the interview will be held in Welsh.
Most of your activity will be home based with occasional catch ups, additional to the travel you will do to meet projects and liaise with local stakeholders and organisations.
