Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 11 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
- Experience with people management, and leading and developing a sales team.
- Experience digital media landscape including formats, buy types, and strategies across the sales funnel.
- Experience in developing and driving business plans for pods or product areas, supporting business planning and identifying areas to support the Director's overall strategy.
- Experience working with Brands and Social Marketing, YouTube, Video, TV, Social, Display.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in comms planning for businesses or clients within a media agency. Experience with influencer and brand agreements within an agency or advertising.
- Experience in leadership with the ability to work through ambiguity with your team.
- Experience identifying and recommending new processes, procedures, and methods for product adoption strategy, addressing future needs by partnering and collaborating with regional partners/stakeholders.
- Ability to identify client’s biggest challenges to define customer and product strategy, enabling longer-term opportunities.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of specialists, developing the teams’ product knowledge to grow Google’s product adoption.

The Social Video Team (which will be part of the wider YouTube Specialist Team) is a talented, highly ambitious team who will incubate, codify and scale our sales strategy - specifically helping to showcase YouTube’s role within the ads market.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for scaling activation of critical sales strategies to help the Google sales teams at large activate the opportunity. You will be responsible for working across the UK to refine and execute our go-to-market sales strategy to help grow advertiser and agency budgets by demonstrating YouTube’s USPs and value proposition within the market.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of talented individuals to develop and scale sales strategies for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, and Demand Gen to realize growth opportunities within the market and for customers.
- Be an expert in the social ads market, (across both brand and performance) and understand how to execute ‘social-like’ campaigns on YouTube. Utilize knowledge of the industry alongside proficient understanding of advertiser marketing strategies.
- Share and scale best practices, learnings, and sales strategies, such as objection handling, pitching, and engage tactics to upscale accounts and align solutions with customer and Google business needs.
- Address and resolve strategic challenges that impede growth. Develop a feedback loop with product to provide a clear view of what is needed for success.
