As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of automation projects using MS Power Platform, Pega Case Management and Cloud Technologies (Azure/AWS). You will be responsible for technical design, delivery and people management as well as working closely with engineers to help unblock barriers and ensure technical delivery of high standards.

What you'll be doingAs a Lead Engineer in the Customer Experience Platforms Team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of automation projects. This group is part of the overall COO team in Nationwide.
You will need to understand business requirements, oversee technical designs and ensure the appropriate technology and tools are used to automate business process. You will be working closely with Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts and Test Managers to track projects on a day-to-day basis. You will need to ensure you have the right resources within your team to deliver technical solutions at speed and high standards. You will be expected to oversee multiple projects/workstreams at a time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Use your technical knowledge and experience to design solutions for process automation using tools like MS Power Platform, Pega case management and DocuSign
- Drive the delivery of technical projects engaging closely with engineers, data analysts, testers and business users
- Track technical risks and dispensations
- Deep knowledge of technical principles, architecture patterns and infrastructure designs
- Lead a team of engineers and designers to create proposal to automate operational processes
- Lead the delivery of automation projects end to end
- Ensure technical delivery is in line with business requirements and within timelines committed
- Use your relationship building skills to work collaboratively with other engineering teams in the organisation
About youThe minimum requirements for this role are:
- Experience leading technical deliveries within the Financial sector
- People management experience (small to medium teams)
- Ability to multitask and be able to run numerous projects simultaneously
- Experience in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), MS Power Platform or/and Pega Platform
- Experience in reviewing technical designs, driving technical deliveries and ensuring guard rails are followed as expected
- Strong stakeholder management experience (including Senior Architects and Senior Managers)
- Demonstrable capability to report on project status to senior stakeholders
