VP - Equity Systems Migration Specialist - Full Time - London

Main Purpose of the Role :
The role will sit within the Platforms Support team, under the ETP Technology pillar, and will be primarily responsible for providing desk-side support services to Global Markets Sales & Trading activities in EMEA.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the migration of Fidessa across MUFG’s banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act and make decisions on behalf of both the bank and the securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.
Migration Planning: Develop a comprehensive migration strategy and roadmap, detailing timelines, resources, and risk management.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, compliance, and IT teams, to gather requirements and ensure the new system meets all operational needs.
System Configuration: Oversee the configuration and customization of the new equity system to align with existing workflows and processes.
Data Migration: Ensure accurate and secure migration of historical data from Fidessa to the new system, including trades, accounts, and reporting metrics.
Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, performance, and data integrity pre- and post-migration.
Current System Support: Provide ongoing support for the Fidessa platform during the migration, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring continuity of operations.
Training and Support: Create training materials and conduct training sessions for users on the new system. Provide ongoing support during and after the transition.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the migration process, including technical specifications, user guides, and support materials.
Skills and Experience:
Good knowledge of Fidessa Modules TOP/FDA/FIX+
Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity trading systems, with specific experience in Fidessa Enterprise and other equity platforms such as FlexTrade
Linux experience
Good knowledge of FIX
Good knowledge of Cash Equities Products
