About the Role:
The Team:
You will join our DTS organization –
- a fast-paced, energetic, and high performing team at the heart of S&P Global
- DTS provide services across a broad range of technical disciplines
- leverages investment in world class technologies in support of S&P Global’s products and clients.
- The M&A Service Team provides a predictable and repeatable process for integrating acquisitions and merger into the S&P Global environment
- The M&A acquisition process is highly efficient and follows S&P Global’s technology and security standards.
- The team oversees and contributes to the tasks required to both divest a business or transition a business into a joint venture.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Assist the M&A Team to achieve their objectives on each acquisition, merger or divestiture
- Collaborate with product and technology leaders across S&P Global to understand their priorities and strategies for each project
- Ability to produce clear, concise, relevant, and accurate technical recommendations based on information gathered from a variety of stakeholders and SMEs
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to senior management, business technology project teams and functional organisations
- Be aware of and help drive S&P Global’s technology strategy
- Provide overall technical leadership surrounding integration estimates and synergies associated with acquisitions
- Create and maintain documentation in relation to the role
This is an “Individual Contributor” role and does not involve any line management. However, you will manage initiatives and streams of work allocated to you and work in partnership with internal engineering teams, third-party suppliers and the external parties involved in an acquisition, divestiture or merger.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $132,000 to $220,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- First-rate architectural knowledge of either Linux or Windows, databases, storage, networking and virtualization
- Cloud Associate or Professional Architect with at least one year of practical design or implementation. Must have either Azure or AWS skillset. In addition, GCP would be desirable
- Good understanding of security technologies and processes
- Experience with M&A integration / divestiture processes
- The ability to employ judgement and experience to make rapid, complex decisions
- Good presentation skills
- Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally. Comfortable at all levels of an organization with the ability to communicate clearly
- Flexible approach to working hours may be required
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of HA/DR technologies
- Good understanding of data governance, such as GDPR
- On-going awareness of infrastructure developments in the IT industry
- Strong analytical and solutions design and architecture skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Will need to work within a global environment and communicate clearly with teams in different geographic regions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment where influencing and motivational skills are paramount
- Ability to influence others, earn followership, and drive consensus across different stakeholder groups
