This is an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor role and you would be leading on your large scale project made up of several subprojects . You will have experience of delivering several projects already and be able to demonstrate experience of contract and commercial management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, tenders and procurement and negotiation.
Ideally you will have a degree in quantity surveying or a related discipline such as construction management or construction law and several years relevant experience or over 10 years experience of working as a QS on large construction projects. You will have an good understanding of NEC4 contracts (Option A, C and E). Ideally you have experience on infrastructure projects, but this isn’t essential as you might have a contractor or consultant background, for example.
You also have a driving licence that permits you to drive in the UK. There is an expectation that you’ll be able to travel to site as and when required, but as part of our hybrid working model you’ll also have the flexibility to work from home, a National Grid office, or site
