Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in media relations or communications in a consumer, business, government, or non-profit environment.
- Experience in business-to-consumer (B2C) communications across social, creator, and media channels.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working directly with digital creators, influencers, and agencies to deliver impactful narrative-driven campaigns.
- Experience in dealing with tough issues and communicating complex technical arguments in a simple, effective way.
- Experience with public relations, media relations, creator storytelling, or journalism bringing creative ideas to fruition through cross-functional partnership and creative development.
- Knowledge of Google and performers across the consumer tech, creator economy, and artificial intelligence space.
- Excellent organizational skills, managing numerous projects from start to finish, cultivating relationships with consumer, tech, and lifestyle media outlets.
- Passion for product communications, innovation, and working across multiple teams.
About the job
In this role, you will turn issues into simple narratives, collaborate across many teams, think up bold ideas and drive proactive Communications strategy across Google’s core UK product and AI portfolio.
You will be creative, enthusiastic and well-organised, while managing a load of spinning plates across a number of products, creator networks, and channels. You will assist in delivering campaigns, launches, news and social activations, forging strong partnerships with our cross-functional stakeholders to produce stories across Gemini, Search, Pixel and our broader ecosystem of AI tools and consumer services. You will also support the Head of Product Communications.
Managing incoming requests, overseeing reviews and creator testing programs, building responses, and monitoring and tracking results will form a large part of your role. You should be a social native working closely with our across creator workstreams and channels, to help produce authentic content that delivers our narrative.
You will bring Google’s products to life through clear and creative storytelling, via verbal and written pitches, blog posts, social media posts, creator briefs, scripts, workshops, demos and more. Combining creativity with organisation to manage numerous projects to tight deadlines is a must.

Responsibilities
- Lead the charge on core ongoing product storytelling across priority products like Gemini and Search, and our evolving AI-embedded features.
- Be an avid social and creator powerhouse, co-creating ideas for workshops, and demos, finding ways to amplify content across multiple channels, leveraging the power of creators to tell Google’s product stories.
- Communicate with journalists, creators, and other thought leaders across a variety of setups, from individual briefings to events, roundtables, and relationship-building opportunities.
- Be able to manage tricky issues when they arise, by triaging as necessary across the various internal teams while developing reactive communications and managing creator-related sensitivities.
- Train and advise stakeholders and company leaders for events, media interviews, and creator collaborations, including optimizing their digital and social media presence.
