About the role
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) owns and operates the high voltage electricity transmission system in England and Wales. Our role is key in enabling the net zero transition by providing the electricity infrastructure needed to meet the UK’s ambitious targets. This requires us to ensure we optimise across the requirements of a broad range of customers and stakeholders while also considering the socio-economic and environmental implications of everything we do.
As Business Change and Innovation Analyst you’ll be part of our Network Operations and Intelligence (NOI) function. NOI is at the heart of the NGET business, providing end-to-end strategic, engineering and planning leadership to deliver strong business performance while delivering a safety conscious plan, meeting the needs of our customers and our sustainability commitments.
As part of the Strategic Planning Team, you’ll be responsible for leading performance improvement initiatives, in turn contributing towards the transformation agenda across the business. You’ll analyse data turning it into actionable insights to support business change initiatives and process improvements, both within Strategic Planning and wider.
Supporting the compilation of a strategic 10-year plan of outages, you’ll participate in ‘big picture thinking’, engaging with Long-Term planners and the business to understand, identify and surface future issues and concerns which need to be addressed. You will identify all levels of improvements ranging from ways of working within teams to significant business direction shifts, culminating in you creating a substantial proposal of recommendations for efficiencies and business transformations. This will need to be communicated to stakeholders to inform relevant decision making, and follow through by project managing the end-to-end change process.
To ensure efficient change management, you will identify and conduct effective implementation initiatives to capture buy-in, engage wider stakeholders, and ensure a smooth transition. You will project manage the end-to-end change process, from identifying data & analytics led proposals, building out the initiative, all the way through to implementation.
This role is based out of our offices in Warwick and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.
