THE OPPORTUNITY We have an amazing opportunity to join the Live Experience team as a Senior Event Manager, managing delivery across a large portfolio of EMEA events for one of our largest technology clients.
This is a highly client-facing and partner-driven role, where our client attends events alongside key leading partners within the space. The role will require strong project management, stakeholder coordination with teams such as creative and content, and strategic oversight across multiple event formats, including, small scale activations, executive dinners, and roundtable experiences.We are looking for you to be an experienced Event Manager, with proven track record of delivering live corporate events. You’ll have expert knowledge of the CVENT platform and experience of managing webinars through tools such as Zoom and Teams.
This role is largely hybrid between office and home working, however there may be occasions where you are required onsite.
THE DAY TO DAY - Provide clear frameworks, schedules, and seamless project management to ensure all events are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard, while aligning with the client’s broader sales and marketing objectives.
- Work directly with the client as well as various internal teams and the internal Client Services Team to manage a large portfolio of events across EMEA, with varying involvement
- Manage a running status and project plan of all events and continuously managing expectations of all parties through a project.
- Create and manage registration and event web pages through the CVENT platform
- Set-up large number of meetings using event tool, with the ability to organise many meetings across multiple stakeholders
- Understand and showcase budget attribution and ROI of events
- Work with the client and Events Lead to drive a strategic approach through the identification, gathering and recognition of relevant insights
QualificationWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - Significant previous experience in a similar client facing Event Management role; Event planning and delivery, B2B/B2C marketing events, corporate events, either within an agency or inhouse environment.
- Proven track record of delivering successful event projects and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Expert knowledge of the CVENT platform for registration management and web page set-up
- Ideal but not essential, experience with JiffleNow and Microsoft Bookings for meeting management
- Experience with managing and setting up webinars through tools like Zoom or Teams.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders on both the client and agency side.
- Confident and articulate - able to manage both senior clients and wider inter-agency teams with ease, acting as the expert voice in the room.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor contracts, with strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
- Proficiency with event management tools, CRM systems and marketing platforms.
- Excellent event management skills, including contractor management, logistics and operations and health & safety.
