Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 1 year of experience with Android application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in mobile apps, client architecture, or tools in the mobile space.
- Ability to ship consumer facing, high quality, mobile products.
- Ability to manage ambiguous problems.
- Passion for crafting foundational code for broad usage across feature teams using modern frameworks (e.g., Jetpack Compose, etc.).

Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
The Fitbit Mobile Foundations team works on projects to help Fitbit engineering improve the quality of the Fitbit mobile application on a variety of mobile surfaces, and build the foundations of future feature work.

Responsibilities
- Write mobile applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
- Craft functional user interfaces using modern frameworks.
- Develop foundational technologies for use across feature teams within the broader application.
- Drive designs for mobile components and features, and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance mobile software solutions.
- Implement unit and integration tests as well as other mobile software architecture best practices.
