In the role of External Affairs Co - ordinartor, you will Support the day to day operations of the External Affairs team, coordinating team meetings and offsites, managing the community relations mailbox and phoneline, and supporting project teams with mailbox and website requests. Support other team administration, such as raising purchase orders and diary management for the Leadership Team, as required.

About you

•Experience of using software packages including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience of working with Stakeholder Management Systems is desirable but not essential.
•Excellent organisation skills, with experience of managing conflicting priorities.
•Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
•Proven track record in developing effective business-wide networks and relationships.
•Experience of working with third party suppliers.
•Experience of managing sensitive and confidential information.
•Able to work independently and as part of a team.
•Good technical skills, with experience of supporting IT requests.

What you'll do

•Manage the External Affairs mailbox and phoneline, coordinating responses to requests from local communities and stakeholders.
•Manage mailbox access and website queries – coordinating between the IT&Digital team and our framework of Community Relations agencies.
•Arrange team meetings and offsites – including logistics planning, coordinating agendas and organising speakers.
•Maintain the External Affairs Team sharepoint, keeping content up to date and managing team documents such as induction packs and messaging hub.
•Support the role out and development of new processes – for example, developing guides for stakeholder management system.
•Support general team administration including raising purchase orders, organising travel and transport for the External Affairs team, and ordering team equipment.
•Support diary management for Leadership Team.

This role is a 6 month Fixed term opportunity to join National Grid. The role can be performed on a hybrid working basis however occassional travel in the UK will be required.
