We’re Hiring: MIV Technician | Thales
Are you a hands-on Manufacturing or Engineering Technician with experience in assembly, testing and fault finding?
We’re looking for an MIV Technician to join our team at Thales and work within an exciting, highly skilled manufacturing environment.
🛠️ What you’ll be doing:
- Assemble and test complex electrical, mechanical and optical components
- Work from manufacturing data packs, technical instructions and test specifications
- Carry out product testing and self-assessment to ensure high-quality standards
- Support fault finding, diagnostics and root cause analysis
- Diagnose and repair electronic systems and sub-assemblies, where required
- Support the alignment and testing of opto-mechanical systems
- Maintain accurate product build and configuration records
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Quality and other technical teams
👤 What we’re looking for:
✅ Experience within an Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial environment
✅ Hands-on assembly and/or testing experience
✅ Good understanding of manufacturing processes
✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
✅ Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✅ Good organisation and time management skills
✅ Basic PC skills
Experience working with electrical, mechanical, electronic or optical assemblies would be particularly valuable.
