This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team market leading within EY. The role is within the UK&I Strategy and Transactions (“SaT”) Quality team. SaT Quality is a diverse team, and has team members based in our offices in London, Luton, Bristol, Edinburgh and Belfast. The
SaT Quality team supports the business on risk management and service quality matters across the whole of the UK and Ireland.
The opportunity You will provide risk and quality solutions to the SaT business and become a trusted adviser of EY stakeholders (often at senior level, including engagement partners). You will be expected to assess and understand how firm risks can be best managed and mitigated. You will also be working closely with engagement teams and our clients to undertake some of the quality and risk management aspects on projects and in the practice.
Your key responsibilities - Prepare various legal and contractual documents, such as engagement agreements (including statements of work and terms & conditions, where applicable liaising with the in-house legal team), sub-contract agreements and other ancillary documentation, liaising with the engagement partner and team, and agreeing these, where required, with clients
- Support the engagement partner and engagement manager with independence and conflicts of interest matters, working with other EY Risk management colleagues
- Support consultations on Q&RM matters with EY stakeholders (e.g. Global Client Service Partners) and client stakeholders (e.g. Audit Committee) in order to resolve identified matters and obtain adequate approvals
- Work with engagement teams to complete anti-money laundering procedures, and independence consultations,
- Work with engagement teams to put in place documentation for client-facing QRM resolution, for example disclosure & consent letters
- Work with engagement teams to put in place inter-office memorandum documentation for cross-border EY engagements
- Work with engagement teams to put in place documentation to support third party release of work-product including Release and Duty of Care letters
- Support the deployment of specific Q&RM projects and initiatives

To qualify for the role you must:
- Bring experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts or other complex contracts with an appreciation of general legal and risk management issues
- Demonstrate experience of senior management and stakeholder management
- Be a self-starter and a pragmatic problem solver
- Possess a drive to continuously build and master key technical, functional and professional skills
- Have the ability to effectively manage a demanding workload with tight deadlines in a fast-paced, challenging and demanding environment
- Have excellent communication skills
Note that you will be provided with training and coaching on the job.
Ideally, you’ll also have Experience of working in a risk management role in a similar / professional services environment, and of independence, conflicts of interest, etc.
