JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
International System Engineering (ISE) is a trusted provider in delivering secure mission-critical solutions, services and cutting-edge technologies. ISE products portfolio includes Cybersecurity, Secure Infrastructure/Cloud Management, Secure Network & Domain Management, Application Support & Development, End User Computing & Support, and IT Service Management.
The ideal products director will be responsible for formulating the overall product vision, overseeing the creation of product strategies, and ensuring delivery against product roadmaps. The products director guides products portfolio throughout their entire life cycle, from conception to launch to end of life. Working closely with the leaders of the engineering and delivery functions, the products director ensures that the products achieve both the customers’ targeted outcomes and the organization’s business objectives.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the products director must ensure alignment between products strategies and the overall business strategy. The products director serves as the organization’s most senior expert on market trends and customer needs. A key element of the products director’s role is to serve as a thought leader, and the products director must be able to communicate an inspiring product vision to the internal team, strategic customers and key external stakeholders, including the board of directors.
The products director role requires collaboration across the organization and leadership through influence. The ideal candidate must be:
• An effective analyst, able to leverage data from multiple sources in decision-making.
• An experienced manager, able to guide and engage team members at multiple levels in the organization.
• An inspiring product visionary, able to identify strategic market opportunities and paint a compelling picture of how our organization will successfully capture them.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
• Provide strategic direction to the product portfolio to drive competitive advantage and enable accelerated growth aligned with overall corporate strategy.
• Through collaboration across the organization, ensure the effective creation and launch of new products and services.
• Establish effective approaches and processes for continuous collection of data to understand market trends, the evolving needs of existing customers, and unsolved customer problems in new targeted customer segments
• Create systematic approaches to capture and utilize competitive intelligence across the organization
• As a member of the executive team, ensure the alignment of overall business and product strategies
• Serve in lead role for product investment decisions based on thorough analyses of market opportunities and expected costs, as well as relative attractiveness of opportunities across the portfolio
• Create and implement processes and approaches to drive alignment and consistency across the product portfolio, where appropriate
• Ensure product development work is prioritized to provide the highest impact to customers, alignment with the strategy and benefit to the financial results.
• Drive continued refinement of product quality and pricing.
• Establish, monitor and take appropriate action on key performance metrics and/or OKR achievement for the products team. Working with sales, marketing, and other functional leaders, deliver successfully against key performance metrics, including:
• New customer acquisition
• Revenue from new products
• Revenue growth (CAGR)
• Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) score/Net Promoter Score (NPS)
• Customer retention rate
• Achievement of revenue against targets
• Attract, hire, develop and provide leadership to product team members, including product managers, product owners, product operations, offering managers, designers and researchers
• Approve selection of the appropriate tools and systems to improve product team efficiency and effectiveness
• Nurture a culture of innovation and experimentation, and effectively mentor, guide and evaluate team members
• Support a collaborative, diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment
• Manage the performance of the engineering team in the creation and delivery of market-leading products
• Establish and monitor key performance metrics for the engineering team
• Attract, hire, develop and provide leadership to engineering team members
• Drive engineering process improvement to improve product quality
• Maintain accountability for achievement of product development schedule and budget targets
