Head of MediaCo and Responsibility Partnerships, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Candidates will typically have 7 years of experience of working commercially with partners in TV/Media/Sport/News.
  • Experience in business leadership, planning and driving operational excellence to execute across cross-functional teams in the technology or media industries.
  • Experience in partner development and negotiation through business development, commercial rights, or media agreements.
  • Experience working as a People Manager.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Typically 7 years of experience working within a global, matrixed business, managing multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Experience with complex agreement negotiations and working with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
  • Experience working across Civics, Health and Kids/Family sectors.
  • Experience managing high-performing teams, with the ability to attract and retain talent as well as cultivate a strong and highly diverse pool of talent.
  • Knowledge of YouTube products and experience working with Product teams.

As Head of MediaCo and Responsibility UKI, you will lead strategic partnerships with broadcasters, sports rights holders and global production companies, as well as overseeing engagement with News, Health, Kids and Family, and Civics verticals. You will be expected to collaborate with the regional and global Go-To-Market teams to advocate and prioritize for the needs of our partners and help drive adoption of products and priorities across segments and verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic relationships across the media, broadcast, and production ecosystem. Define strategies and priorities, collaborating closely with the global MediaCo team. Advocate internally for MediaCo, collaborating with cross-functional and global teams, actively communicating opportunities and risks to influence product strategy.
  • Build and cultivate a high-performing team that attracts, retains, and grows excellent and diverse talent.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners. Manage complexity to drive alignment and execution. Identify and manage local challenges.
  • Represent YouTube for MediaCos, participating in external conferences, panels, and press engagements. Oversee community agreements and key partnerships across Health, Kids and Family, and Civics communities.
  • Negotiate media agreements and execute legal agreements. Drive activation of new product features, track business metrics and insights through operational excellence.
