About the RoleJoin Accenture's Infrastructure Architecture & Engineering practice within our Digital Core Reinvention group, where you'll help some of the world's largest organizations transform their technology landscapes through innovative cloud and infrastructure solutions.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills to design and deliver complex hybrid cloud transformation programs. Working directly with clients, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping organizations navigate technology change while ensuring solutions align to both business and technical objectives.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy combining hands-on engineering with customer engagement, solution design, and strategic technology consulting.
Key ResponsibilitiesCloud & Infrastructure Engineering- Design, engineer, implement, operate, and govern hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions.
- Support the full project lifecycle, from strategy and assessment through design, implementation, migration, optimisation, and ongoing operations.
- Develop scalable, secure, resilient, and automated infrastructure platforms that meet client business outcomes.
- Contribute to cloud transformation programmes, infrastructure modernisation initiatives, and large-scale migration projects.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor throughout cloud and infrastructure transformation journeys.
- Facilitate workshops, gathering business and technical requirements whilst translating complex concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting your approach to suit senior executives, business leaders, and engineering teams.
- Present solutions, recommendations, and project updates confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
Innovation & Technical Leadership- Stay current with emerging cloud, infrastructure, automation, and security technologies.
- Bring innovative thinking and industry-leading practices to client engagements.
- Support and mentor junior team members whilst contributing to Accenture's technology communities and capability development.
- Help shape solutions and proposals for existing and prospective clients.
What We're Looking ForEssential Experience- Proven success working within infrastructure architecture, engineering, consulting, or technology delivery teams.
- Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders in a consulting, advisory, or professional services environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading workstreams, coordinating teams, and managing priorities within fast-paced transformation programmes.
Technical ExperienceExperience across several of the following areas:
- Infrastructure fundamentals (Datacentre, Compute, Storage, Network technologies)
- Cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Cloud and infrastructure migrations, operations, and lifecycle management
- Infrastructure security, resilience, disaster recovery, high availability, backup and recovery
- Virtualisation technologies including VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix
- Container platforms including AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift
- Infrastructure automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD practices.
