Job title: Computer Aided Design (CAD) Support

Salary: £47,683+ (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing: - Incident and request management for CAD services including end user CAD Toolset support
- Development, integration, testing, certification and deployment of new and updated CAD Toolsets
- Managing and reporting against security incidents (vulnerability remediation)
- Supporting licence renewal, purchasing, hosting and utilisation monitoring activities
- Transitioning services into a defined service model via Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR)
- Access Management (through “in app” configuration or Active Directory)
- Infrastructure Monitoring, Hardware evaluation, testing and monitoring
- Creating and maintaining stakeholder lists, and supporting communications exercises
- IT Governance to ensure that services in scope of the role follow set IT and Security policies
Your skills and experiences: Essential:
- Understanding of Engineering CAD Toolsets primarily Siemens NX, secondarily Dassault Systemès CATIA V5
- Wide ranging engineering background with understanding of the design community
- Awareness of the full through lifecycle of both hardware and software
Desirable:
- Knowledge of ITIL V4 terminology is desirable

CAD Support Air Team: As a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Support, you will be responsible for operating independently to investigate and resolve issues as they arise, either learning on the previous experience, by engaging other Air or EIT departments, or through engagement directly with the vendors
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with 1,200 end users in the design and manufacturing communities across every BAE Air site and others, as well as supporting not only existing users, but also developing upgrades and future CAD systems. The successful candidate will be an excellent and confident communicator with the ability to work on their own initiatives and as part of a diverse team that offers development opportunities in the wider team
