Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HPC Solution Architect Team Lead to join our Technical Projects Group. This role will lead the architecture, design, and delivery of HPC and cloud infrastructure solutions across our global platform, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
You’ll combine deep Linux/HPC expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and execution skills, translating business needs into robust technical solutions. As a recognized SME, you’ll advise senior leadership and engage directly with clients on key architecture decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end architecture and delivery of HPC and cloud infrastructure projects
Translate business and research needs into scalable designs and implementation roadmaps
Drive architecture standards, design reviews, and governance across platforms
Define and ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, cost)
Partner cross-functionally to deliver integrated, compliant solutions
Guide delivery teams through implementation, risk, and issue resolution
Lead automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives to improve reliability and speed
Ensure operational readiness (monitoring, SLAs, runbooks, etc.)
Contribute to platform strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement
Team Leadership
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and design oversight
Act as an escalation point for complex technical challenges
Lead design reviews and ensure quality across deliverables
Represent the team in technical and leadership discussions
What You Bring
Strong Linux experience within HPC environments, with progression into architecture/leadership
Expertise in systems architecture, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code
Experience with containers, cloud, and open-source technologies
Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have: Kubernetes, OpenStack, GPU platforms, parallel file systems, cloud/virtualization, or relevant certifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Proven experience in HPC, Linux, automation, and cloud technologies
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment
