National Grid is hiring an Analyst for our Gas Asset Management and Engineering department in Melville, NY.
The successful candidate will provide analytical support to a department of 50+ engineers in Gas Transmission Asset Management and Engineering.
Every day we deliver safe, affordable, and reliable energy to homes, communities, and businesses. Our department manages approximately 1000 miles of high-pressure natural gas pipelines across New Your State.
Key Accountabilities
- Create Funding Projects and Work Orders for the department using the corporate financial application - Power Plant.
- Track Budgets and Work Plan against actual expenditures.
- Create and Maintain Purchase Orders using corporate procurement application Ariba.
- Pay Vendor Invoices using the corporate procurement application Ariba.
- Coordinate Monthly Accrual Reporting and transmit to Finance Business Partner
- Generate and Distribute Monthly Actual Costs Report using the corporate financial application - Power Plant
- Maintain license subscriptions for Department – Bluebeam/Ariba
- Reconcile Department P-Card expenses using corporate application Concur.
- Coordinate Department Training for AWS, NACE, and API Certifications
- Purchase and Maintain IMP Tooling
- Coordinate Shipping of samples for Material Testing Program
- This is permanent, part time job, 20 hours per week, reporting to the office in Melville, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Plant Accounting Systems (Power Plant) preferred.
- Proficiency in Procurement Systems (SAP and Ariba) preferred,
- Proficiency in PowerBI desired.
- Experience Working in a Matrix Environment.
- Organized and Detail Oriented.
- Structured and Clear Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Communications, Information Technology, or related discipline
Salary - $83,000 - $98,000
