About Finance RP
Within Accenture, theFinance Reinvention Partnerhelps clients improve financial performance around the CFO agenda - driving best-in-class performance, and sharper insight and benchmarking across the enterprise. In the UK and Ireland, our Finance RP practice brings together finance strategy and the platforms it runs on, including SAP, Oracle, Workday and EPM.
You'd help lead ourPlatforms transformation offering within the practice: a growing team delivering large-scale, business-led SAP finance transformations, and building AI into how we deliver. It's a place to shape deep SAP finance work and the offering around it, close to the CFO agenda it serves.
Why this role
This is a lead role for an all-round SAP finance designer - someone who knows how every finance module fits together and can stand in front of a client as the senior finance design authority on a large SAP programme. You'll run SAP-enabled finance transformations self-sufficiently, own the finance design end to end, set the standard others build to, grow the accounts you work on, and shape how we take SAP finance transformation to market.
Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients - andFinanceis one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients - stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control.
"Our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent-boldly, continuously and at speed... while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people-our Reinventors." - Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO
What you'll bring
All-round SAP finance design. You know how the SAP finance modules work and fit together - Financial Accounting (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting) and Controlling (Cost Centre and Profit Centre Accounting, CO-PA, Allocations, Product Costing) - with hands-on design depth in the Record-to-Report core and the range to pick up the wider estate, including Group Reporting, Central Finance and Project Systems. You understand how a legacy ECC landscape evolves into an S/4HANA-enabled finance operating model, and - as the design authority for the programme - you make the calls that hold the whole finance design together.
Finance process knowledge.Real depth across the finance process spine - Record-to-Report first, and the wider finance processes an SAP programme touches - with the judgement to connect the SAP solution to what the CFO cares about: performance, control, and reporting the business can trust. You're grounded in period-end close, consolidation readiness, management versus statutory reporting, cost management and profitability analysis, with an eye for finance controls by design.
Leading the design and the run.You act as the finance design authority across the programme, balancing SAP fit-to-standard against the business differentiation a client genuinely needs and helping them make informed trade-offs. You run large, multi-workstream SAP finance programmes in front of the client - from early discovery and visioning through design, build, testing and deployment, and into the run: stabilising the finance function through hypercare and shaping how it optimises and improves once it's live. You hold your ground in complex landscapes - SAP-to-SAP, SAP-to-non-SAP and heritage integrations - working alongside enterprise architects and integration teams while retaining ownership of the finance agenda. You lead senior client forums, design authorities and steering committees, and you coach and develop the team around you.
Growing the work. You spot where SAP finance transformation can do more for the client and help turn that into work, making the case for transformation in CFO language and connecting SAP capability to enterprise value. You shape propositions, support bids, and bring a clear point of view on where the SAP finance market is heading and how we should differentiate.
Ways of working. We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team - bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and deliver, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. Experience of AI-enabled delivery models and digital accelerators is a real plus.
Qualification
Who you are
You lead with authority and earn trust fast with senior finance and executive stakeholders. You run the room in a design workshop and bring people with you. You have the breadth to hold an entire SAP finance solution in your head and the critical thinking to keep it coherent under pressure. You have commercial instinct - an eye for where an account can grow and a firm hand on scope, commercials and contract realities. You're a genuine team player who develops the people around you, and you're known for sound, decisive calls under pressure.
Things that set strong candidates apart: all-round SAP finance design - knowing how the FI and CO modules work and fit together; a track record leading large-scale, multi-workstream SAP finance programmes end to end; SAP certification; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience).
You may not have done every part of this. If it's the shape of what you do, we'd like to talk.
What's in it for you
Alongside a competitive salary and package (dependent on experience), you'll have an extensive benefits package including 30 days' holiday a year, private medical insurance, and 3 additional days' leave a year for charitable work of your choice.
Due to the security requirements of this role, you must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
