Student Talent Attraction & Acquisition Advisor - Candidate Engagement and Sourcing Specialist Location Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol or Glasgow
The candidate engagement team are responsible for engaging, sourcing, and attracting the best and most diverse candidates to the firm’s school, work experience and graduate programmes across the UK covering over 2500 roles.
The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to join the in-house recruitment team at EY, finding future talent that will enable EY to fill roles. Working in our brand new and market leading candidate experience hub, you’ll be involved in pre and post applicant engagement activities.
This role will also form part of our newly created Candidate Engagement & Sourcing Team which is responsible for the engagement of candidates from sourcing through to selection, offer and pre-boarding.
You will develop a best-in-class exceptional candidate experience at all stages. You will also work closely with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to execute and deliver the candidate engagement and sourcing strategy that is focused on filling regional hot spots and creating talent pools that are diverse. Moving candidates through pipelines so that they have an exceptional experience at EY.
You will proactively build and manage the end-to-end candidate experience and pipelines, through events engagement, recruitment marketing and attraction activities to help convert passive job seekers to applicants.
Your Key Responsibilities: We are looking for exceptional talent who are passionate about candidate experience. Bringing in the latest sourcing ideas to attract and engage with school leaver and graduate talent.
You will work autonomously managing pipelines to fill roles across EY, including regional and niche requirements engaging and retaining the most diverse candidate pools for EY.
You will also be involved in planning and running innovative candidate engagement events both digital and in person and by region, alongside delivering on internal projects within the team.
Key aspects of the role: Candidate Attraction - A knowledge and experience of the current student attraction market and Early Identification (work experience) programmes
- Demonstrate high competence and enthusiasm for event planning and tracking of ROI and delivery(to include virtual events)
- Design a best-in-class pre-applicant experience to include tracking conversion from attraction events to application and offer to measure return on investment
Candidate Engagement - Support the development and delivery of candidate engagement plans through the candidate end to end journey using the latest technologies such as RMP, Handshake and LinkedIn, etc.
- Engage directly with candidates at various stages in the recruitment process to support specialist queries or directly contribute to a best-in-class candidate experience via coaching
- Use creative thinking to generate new ideas and strategies that will support our engagement of passive talent
- Develop highly impactful referral strategies and brand ambassadors to scale activity through technology
- Manage stakeholders and candidate expectations throughout the recruitment process, advising on and always applying best practice recruitment process
- Work with Student Recruitment managers on key aspects of recruitment process, e.g., systems management, reporting, special projects
- Complete understanding of an Applicant Tracking System including tracking, processing candidates, diverting candidates to increase engagement and reduce renege and talent loss
- Pre-boarding activity using the latest technology offerings to engage candidates
Candidate Sourcing - Develop gamification and solutions that engage with passive talent
- Identify and utilise the most appropriate sourcing channels to attract the best talent using direct sourcing methods
- Contribute to the achievement of Student Recruitment hiring targets across all programmes
- Support with application to new hire conversion strategy to mitigate offer reneges
- Piloting of new technology to solve recruitment funnel challenges across the whole recruitment lifecycle - application through to pre boarding
- Demonstrate an understanding of and experience with strengths-based assessment methods used at EY
- Can evidence experience in multi-layered relationship building and being able to foster strong working partnerships with internal and external teams & suppliers
Pipeline Management - In process candidate engagement) activity
- Driving an exceptional candidate experience through active pipeline management of the full recruitment process for high volume roles
- Managing candidate offers, candidate comms and retention strategies including keep warm calls and strategies
- Liaising with shared services to ensure an exceptional candidate experience and management of candidate staging
- Involvement and facilitation of assessment centres delivering an exceptional experience
Business partnering: - Gains knowledge about business strategy and performance and demonstrates some understanding of the key business drivers
- Is responsive to business needs, demonstrating speed of response through own actions and proactively proposing ideas and solutions
- Builds a strong internal network for example with Talent Shared Services, Resourcing, Operations, HR and the business to remain abreast of key issues and events and to provide exceptional service and insight to business
MI & Reporting - Able to produce management/pipeline reports for team and business as required and can identify when data is not accurate or of questionable integrity
- Uses the recruitment portals effectively so that data is maintained with integrity and updates the recruitment records consistently to ensure accurate reporting of candidate activity at all times
- Accurately collects and reports on data for specific KPI’s or produces reports for the team and internal stakeholders
- Using data to track conversion metrics
What you’ll have: - A passion for student recruitment, either via prior experience or a desire to learn
- Complete understanding of an Applicant Tracking System including tracking, processing candidates, search and reporting capability
- Experience of direct headhunting and sourcing through LinkedIn and or Handshake, or similar
- Highly organised with an eye for detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Confident excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc)
- Experience in event management and delivery
- Strong recruitment marketing, attraction and engagement experience
- Relationship building skills - with the ability to challenge where necessary, always acting with integrity and enthusiasm
- Enjoy teaming and working with others on core delivery and projects
- Calm and objective when under pressure
Ideally, you’ll also have: - A passion for candidate engagement
- High volume recruitment experience across early careers
- Experience of either schools or university recruitment (ideally both)
- Proven track record of executing volume recruitment
- Previous experience using LinkedIn and/or other sourcing tools
- Experience of managing campaigns for multiple positions and building candidate pipelines
