What You'll Do

Our NE Health team is responsible for providing health services and medical clearances for our NE Business Unit through employee DOT physicals, annual Hearing Conservation examinations, Respirator Fit Testing, as well as pre-employment and return-to-duty medical examinations. Additionally, this team manages our AED program, Athletic Trainer contract vendor, and Mental Health First Aid network. These services are provided to over 6,000 employees within the Massachusetts territory. As a Gridtern, you will assist the NE Health team with specific projects that will directly contribute to improved compliance with our regulated programs by conducting administrative reviews of our Driver Database and Medical Database to check for gaps. You will also play a part in the design of a Power BI Dashboard for Medical Compliance Program tracking. You will have the opportunity to utilize skills in data analytics while working on various other potential process reviews.

You will be in Northboro, MA working in an In Person structure for the summer. You must be located within a commutable distance to the identified work location for the summer.

What You'll Need

Availability to start on program start date, May 27, 2025 and work full-time (40 hours a week) throughout your duration of the summer

Registered in school as a full-time student and continuing education full-time for Fall 2025 Semester

Pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree

Accumulated 18 or more credits and be 18 years of age

Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (including CPT & OPT)

Valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.

Salary Range

$22.00 - $26.00 an hour (Undergraduate Student)

$32.00 an hour (Graduate Student)

Candidates will be assessed and provided offers based on major, degree type, and class year. Our Gridtern Program does not offer relocation, housing assistance, or public transportation reimbursement for Gridterns; however, we can provide a list of resources to utilize in making your arrangements.

Must reside within our existing footprint, which includes Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont. As a Gridtern, you should also reside within a reasonable, commutable distance to your assigned primary office.
