Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience

The opportunity
MBDA has entered the next phase of its exciting evolution as a world-class European missile company. The growing workload within MBDA has now created an exciting opportunity within the Electronic Engineering function for a specialist engineer with capability and experience in design and development of telemetry systems and equipment.
As a member of the Electronics Engineering function, your involvement will span board level electronic design, prototyping, functional testing and sub-system level design, integration and validation. There is also an element of systems engineering and system integration in this role.
The role is active over the full breath of the Product Life Cycle from feasibility through transfer to Production and in service support. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in research and continuous improvement activities to enhance our Electronic Engineering capability for the future.
What we're looking for
We are looking for an electronics engineer with experience of telemetry systems and equipment, someone with a broad understanding of electronics who can lead the design of telemetry technical solutions.
- Understanding of end-to-end telemetry system from the interfacing systems on the platform to ground station data analysis
- Working knowledge of applicable standards
- Appreciation of applicable cryptographic technologies and practices
- Practical experience working with the underlying telemetry technologies and principles (RF, antennas, modulation schemes, test and measurement techniques, spectra utilisation, communications systems, data management etc.)
