Job Summary
Primary responsibility for the BD Manager is to generate revenue for the company via the sale of seismic data, while maintaining
and enhancing the value of the Earth Data assets. Identify new EDA opportunities, by working closely with the internal G&G team
to find areas for new acquisitions and new projects. Drive business development activities by presenting new projects and
recommending additional solutions, through close client interactions.
The BD Manager will need to be able to work effectively under pressure in a highly flexible environment with constant changes in
priorities and challenging deadlines. Be able to move quickly from project-to-project while prioritizing work and re-adjusting
deadlines as appropriate, and have a strong understanding of the market direction and variables.
In collaboration with Customer Service and Legal, the BD Manager will generate Contract Supplements which include products to
be delivered, pricing and payment terms for new data sales.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
• Generate revenue while maximizing the value of the existing data.
• Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and understand each client’s needs and priorities.
• Prepare and present new projects and sales proposals, coordinating input from Viridien technical teams to develop
custom solutions, input into sales/pricing strategy, cost calculation, with a focus on clearly communicating Viridien’s
technical capabilities and values to clients.
• Negotiation skills.
• Problem solving - identify the key issues and articulate solutions
• Attend relevant technical conferences and trade shows in the region
