About the RoleWe're in search of an imaginative and user-centered UX/UI Designer to become part of our diverse team. You'll be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You'll work closely with product managers, developers, and collaborators to bring user-centric build solutions to fruition.
- As part of this transformation, we want a product designer to join us, to create best in class developer facing experiences for all things infrastructure
- The role will work alongside product, engineers, internal development teams to craft best in-class experiences for our developers
- This role will be the driving force for 0-1 product experiences, specifically focussed on our Infrastructure Portal, the one stop shops for our engineers to get everything they need to power their apps.
- Understanding of developer portals and the software development lifecycle would be an advantage
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user needs
- Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Design user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate and refine designs
- Create and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Share build concepts and reasoning with collaborators
- Stay informed about UX/UI trends, tools, and standard methodologies
- A strong, well-curated portfolio demonstrating your expertise across web, responsive and native design
- The ideal candidate would love working in a greenfield space and have a good mix of UX and UI, as ultimately, they will own the end to end experience and UI
- Prior involvement in high-profile design projects ideally in an enterprise environment, although not vital
- Passion for solving product problems while balancing all facets of a user experience (strategy and research, information architecture, interaction design, accessibility)
- A good understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process including how to develop and use design research, journey mapping, wire-framing, prototyping, and user testing to achieve human-centred design solutions
- Proficiency in interaction design for web (desktop and mobile) and native applications
- Experience of designing with accessibility in mind and meeting WCAG 2.1 level AA
- Experience collaborating closely with multiple fields including product and engineering
- Self-motivated and organised with good time management skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills to all levels of seniority and subject areas within the organisation
- Ability to coach, mentor and set standards for ways of working for more junior team members
- Proficiency with current industry design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, etc.
- A proven understanding of: Jira, Confluence, Adobe Creative Suite
- Previous experience in the Infrastructure is an advantage
