Salary: Circa £55,000 (depending on experience)

The opportunity:
Weapon System Architect - Future Cruise / Anti Ship
We are looking for a Weapon System Architect to provide knowledge and expertise to an exciting multi-national programme which has just entered the Assessment phase. We need to develop The successful candidate will develop the System-of-System/System architecture in order to maintain coherence across the design of our Missile, Mission System and Launcher Products and the equipment therein, plus their integration on multiple platforms.
The architect successful candidate will be an analytical system thinker, able to develop and communicate concepts and architectures. They will identify, engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, instigate and drive trade studies and system development activities and provide top level direction to the subsystem architects. In summary, they will play a significant role in the technical direction and strategy of the products within this programme.
Whilst you will be focussed on a single (but diverse) programme, you will be joining a broader, growing team of highly skilled people working across the breadth of MBDAs current and future products. The department is focussed on growing and developing a team of excellent System Architects. This is a small but experienced team focussed on technical solutions and setting the right design principles with new projects.
What we're looking for- Analytical Systems thinkers able to develop and communicate new concepts and architectures
- Experience of developing complex systems, ideally in defence.
- Knowledge of Sea and/or Air platforms and Weapon System integration
