Salary: Circa £57,000 depending on experience

The opportunity:
The Command and Control (C2) system is at the heart of the weapon system. The C2 helps the Operator to understand the complex battlespace and identify the threats. In response to the Operator's request for engagements, the C2 plans the optimal engagement solution, taking into consideration a number complex and ever-changing constraints. The C2 then initiates the missile firings, and maintains communication with the missile in flight to manage engagement through to its conclusion.
As a Systems Design Engineer you'll support product development of C2 systems for a range of domestic and export customers. Day to day you'll be supporting the definition of the C2 software design and architecture, defining requirements, managing certification documentation for the products, and investigating customer queries. We deliver processing units, consoles with user interfaces, safety control equipment and supporting equipment for system maintenance, logging, data analysis and training.
Working in the C2 domain in MBDA provides an excellent opportunity to interact with all areas of the company and to see the full product development life-cycle. Our systems are fundamental to the Operator's user experience and deliver real capability to the customers.
