We are looking for an Instrumentation and Monitoring Technician or Engineer to join our team at Geocomp!
As a member of our Instrumentation & Monitoring team, you will contribute to the design, installation, and operation of complex monitoring systems on heavy civil infrastructure projects. This hybrid role combines field and office work, supporting both instrumentation systems and geo-structural engineering services.

About the Team

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, configure, and program data loggers and instrumentation
- Install and maintain geotechnical and structural monitoring systems
- Conduct field inspections and supervise drill rigs, including soil sampling
- Draft boring logs and document field activities
- Download, process, and analyze field data for performance insights
- Prepare technical reports and visualizations for clients
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Use hand tools and power tools for instrumentation installation (e.g., hammer drill, sawzall)
- Travel to field sites, including overnight and occasional weekend work
- Perform climbing and lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs.) during installations and removals
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality and process adherence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
- Construction experience and familiarity with electronics or programming are considered a plus.
