Global Banking & Markets - Public We are looking for an Analyst or Associate candidate to work within the London based EMEA Securitized Derivatives Structuring and Origination team
The team is responsible for wrapping of FICC and EQ derivatives into securities, through on-balance sheet and off-balance sheet (SPV) issuers, predominantly focused on on-balance sheet structured products and to a lesser extent SPV repacks. Its main client base are private banks, retail banks, online brokers and other distributors that provide structured solutions to high net worth or retail investors as well as asset managers, funds and insurance companies purchasing securitized derivatives for own account.
Origination are a cross-asset class structuring team, working closely with partners from other structuring, sales and trading desks and various federation teams (legal, compliance, operations, engineering, controllers) to develop one of the largest and most successful structured products platforms amongst our peers.
Job Summary & Responsibilities - Term sheet drafting, deal coordination and legal execution of a broad range of structured products
- Regulatory, operational, tax, accounting analysis and structuring (with relevant Control groups) for bespoke transactions
- Project management and contribution towards various platform builds, product development and automation initiatives (e.g. documentation automation, execution workflow automation).
- Key point of contact for sales (or their clients) and trading on issuance documentation and transaction approval workflow.
Basic Qualifications & Skills - Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or related subject
- Previous internship or full time experience within a structured products structuring/sales/related team preferred, otherwise previous internship / full time experience in a finance role
- Pre-existing coding experience in SQL / VBA / Python or other language strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Hands-on entrepreneurial approach and engineering mind set
- Fluency in English required, further languages (German, French, Italian) are preferred
