About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our AUKUS Program based at Osborne - SA or Melbourne - VIC, reporting to the Business Analysis Practice Lead.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our dynamic and growing Architecture Practice. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of business and technology, helping shape the future of our organisation through impactful analysis and insight. You will be responsible for eliciting, analysing, and documenting business needs, and translating them into actionable outcomes across a portfolio of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects.
You will work closely with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, Project Managers, Enterprise and Solution Architects, and other key partners to ensure that requirements are well understood, prioritised, and aligned to business value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and gather detailed requirements through workshops, interviews, and research.
- Analysis & Documentation: Develop high-quality artefacts including business cases, user stories, process maps, and functional/non-functional requirements.
- Solution Development Support: Collaborate with technical teams and architects to ensure solutions align with business objectives and are feasible to implement.
- Agile & Waterfall Delivery: Operate within different delivery models, contributing to project planning, sprint ceremonies, and UAT processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders across regions, bridging gaps between strategy, operations, and delivery.
- Change Support: Assist in business readiness, training needs analysis, and transition to operational support.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of our Business Analysis practice by sharing knowledge, tools, and techniques.
About YOU - Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex or cross-functional project environments.
- Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with flexibility to operate in Hybrid settings.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to adapt for different audiences.
- Experience working on projects in engineering, manufacturing, construction, or technology-driven environments is desirable.
- Ability to quickly understand complex business processes and systems.
- Comfortable working across multi-country or multi-organisation collaborations.
- Team player with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a NV 1 Clearance
