Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven APAC HR Director to join our Viridien HR team.
Reporting to the CHRO, the Regional HR Director, APAC is part of the senior management team in Singapore and the global HR Leadership Team. This role will focus on developing and executing the human resources strategy across APAC. You will partner with regional and global leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving organizational growth and development.
Regional scope: 200 headcount, 7 countries (Australia, Brunei, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore). Leading HR APAC team of 6.
As the Regional HR Director for APAC, your responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute regional HR strategies that support business goals and drive organizational performance
Lead and develop a team of HR professionals across multiple APAC countries
Partner with regional leadership to identify workforce needs and implement effective talent solutions
Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention
Establish compensation and benefits frameworks appropriate for each market while ensuring internal equity
Design and implement leadership development and succession planning programs
Drive employee engagement initiatives and maintain positive employer branding
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all APAC jurisdictions
Manage labour relations and serve as an escalation point for complex employee relations issues
Lead organizational change management and cultural transformation initiatives
Develop and monitor HR budgets and key performance metrics
Key Skills & Experience
Qualifications
Master’s degree in HR, business or any relevant field
10+ years of broad HR experience (Compensation, Benefits, HR Systems, employee relations, organization development, performance management, recruiting, industrial relations)
Desired Job Skillsets
Experience working with senior management teams
Strategic view of the business – ability to focus on the longer-term development of the business from the Human Resources side
International HR experience is required
Confidence and effectiveness in building relationships, managing stakeholders and influence decision making
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment and work in an agile, dynamic team.
Proven change management experience and problem-solving ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
