Viridien’s Earth Data team is looking for passionate, creative, and hard-working individuals with a customer-oriented entrepreneurial mindset to join our team as a Business Development Manager, based in Houston.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing solutions for projects that address specific geological and geophysical challenges in the Americas region
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify and develop innovative technical solutions for projects addressing specific geological and geophysical challenges, as well as client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal Imaging and Geological teams to develop new multi-client seismic programs.
- Partner with Sales teams and clients to ensure surveys are aligned with project development needs.
- Work with vendors and internal operations teams to source seismic acquisition services.
- Manage communication and serve as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, operators, clients, acquisition vendors, and fisheries, during the planning and acquisition phases.
- Monitor lease sales and client activity in the region.
- Participate in client and internal meetings to address data-related issues.
Qualifications
- Established network of contacts within target oil & gas companies.
- Experience in developing and negotiating large, complex seismic data acquisition programs.
- Degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of geological and geophysical datasets.
- Proficient in seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills and intellectual curiosity.
- Proven team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams.
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, with peers and management.
- Advanced English skills (reading, writing, and speaking); functional Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is desirable.
- Experience in marine streamer and ocean bottom node seismic acquisition is preferred.
