The Exploration Geoscientist, under the supervision of a Team Leader, will contribute to seismic interpretation with the goal of producing a comprehensive Regional Basin Analysis. This analysis integrates 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, well data analysis, and potential methods mapping.
The geoscientist will:
- Conduct G&G projects, including seismic interpretation, petroleum system evaluation, prospect assessment, structural analysis, and risk assessments, to identify and develop new business opportunities for Earth Data (multiclients).
- Create, deliver, and present technical materials to governments, partners, potential clients, and at international conferences to support business development and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in seismic interpretation and GIS software for data compilation.
- Familiarity with geological exploration platforms (preferred).
- Knowledge of offshore Brazilian basins (carbonate play and frontier basins) and lead/prospect evaluation (preferred).
- Master’s or PhD in Geology (preferred).
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with multiple business lines and external stakeholders (e.g., partners, governments, clients).
- Membership in Brazilian or international professional associations for geologists or geophysicists (preferred).

- Ability to present to external stakeholders, including partners, governments, and clients.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with a good understanding of seismic imaging and geology.
- Innovative mindset.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (oral and written); intermediate Spanish is a plus.
