Job Overview
As HR Manager in the Human Resources team, you will report directly to the Regional HR Director. In this role, you will lead and optimize Viridien human resources operations across various business lines, which includes, but not limited to, developing and enforcing HR policies to ensure compliance with local labor legislation, compensation and benefits, administering international mobility programs, as well as managing complex HR projects. You will be responsible for driving HR initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success in the APAC HR Office.
Formulate, recommend, and administer human resources policies and procedures across APAC to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
A trusted advisor to both employees and managers on employment-related matters, providing expert guidance to resolve issues and support organizational culture
Supervise monthly payroll operations for Singapore and Brunei, ensuring accurate updates and timely payments to maintain payroll compliance
Coordinate annual HR processes including manpower planning budget for Singapore, APAC salary budgeting, annual salary review, and incentive payments
Oversee regional HR applications (e.g. Singapore and Brunei Payroll, WorkDay, PMA)
Continuously identify and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department, driving service improvements across the organization
Manage and support corporate HR projects (e.g. HCM Transformation, PMA, C&B, Mobility) for APAC
Act as business partner, providing HR support that aligns with departmental objectives
Conduct salary and benefits surveys across APAC, gathering and analyzing competitive data to ensure the company’s compensation packages remain attractive and competitive
Work closely with management, local HR teams, and legal advisors to ensure compliance with each APAC country’s labor regulations. Analyze exemption status and recommend actions to maintain legal and alignment
Participate in the development and administration of the annual salary review and incentive payment system to ensure compliance with the Company’s compensation policy
Collaborate with Compensation team across EAME and NALA regions to ensure policy coherency, contribute to global compensation and benefits projects
Regularly review and recommend employee’s benefits to ensure they are compliant with regulations, cost effective and competitive within the market
Independently resolve complex inquiries from employees and management regarding compensation policies, practices, and procedures, ensuring clarity and fairness
Prepare detailed project plans, develop training materials, and deliver presentations on compensation topics to both internal and external partners
Oversee and administer the APAC Expatriate/Inpatriate programs effectively.
Prepare detailed cost analyses, create long-term and short-term agreements, and provide comprehensive support to expatriates throughout their assignments to ensure seamless transition and adjustment. Ensure full compliance of all expatriate arrangements with relevant immigration laws, insurance requirements, tax obligations, and social security
Active participation in the development and ongoing refinement of the mobility policy to ensure policy is competitive, aligns with industry standards and effectively supports the organization’s goals in the APAC region
Key Skills & Experience
Qualifications
University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in human resources
HR-related professional qualifications (e.g. CCP certification preferred)
Desired Job Skillsets
Proficiency in local labor legislations, ensuring all HR Practices meet statutory requirements
In-depth understanding of HR principles and procedures related to compensation and benefits
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating HR policies and concepts
Strong ability to maintain positive working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners, including handling industrial and labor relations, negotiating effectively with unions to foster a collaborative work environment
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for assessing HR processes and implementing strategic solutions
Strong attention to detail, critical for managing complex HR operations and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the role
Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
